ringing in 2013

How light this body feels. Waking up each morning steadfastly bound inside the inner dip of a childhood bed. Kittens curled, their furry tails a perpetual question mark by the window.

Not lost, tripping in that starry realm some women get pulled in. "Entire arias composing inside her head", this body is finally mine, and this choice, to try, harder and deeper every day.

A year later, and I am now finally full here, here, and here (spoken while gesturing to the head, the heart, the stomach, in that order). We can hold hands and move on.

A happy New Year to everyone!

new stationary.

I sincerely wish you will have the experience of thinking up a new idea, planning it, organizing it, and following it to completion, and then have it be magnificently successful.
I also hope you will go through the same process and have something “bomb out.”
I wish you could know how it feels “to run” with all your heart and lose – horribly.
I wish you could achieve some great good mankind, but have nobody know about it but you.
I wish you could find something so worthwhile that you deem it worthy of investing your life.
I hope you become frustrated and challenged enough to begin to push back the very barriers of your own personal limitations.
I hope you make a stupid mistake and get caught red-handed and are big enough to say those magic words, “I was wrong.”
I hope you give so much of yourself that some days you wonder if it’s all worth it.
I wish for you the worst kind of criticism for everything you do, because that makes you fight to achieve beyond what you normally would.
I wish for you the experience of leadership.

I would like to  WILL take these wishes and make them my own. I will make, and create, and feel, and invest, and give, and GROW, both in my heart and my head.

The kindness and forgiveness of 2013 - this is probably the best part about the new year, minus uneasy self-promises and complimentary champagne. After all, if you say love a hundred times, it's a poem.

And there has been so much love this year.
